SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos IX Eusebes Philopator (Kyzikenos), 114/3-95 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.20 g, 12 h), uncertain mint, probably in Cilicia or Northern Syria, circa 110-109. Diademed head of Antiochos IX to right, with short curly beard. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIOXOY - ΦΙΛΟΠΑΤOPOΣ Athena standing front, head to left, holding Nike in her right hand and spear and shield in her left; to outer left, monogram above A; to right below legend, Δ; all within laurel wreath. SC 2362b. Light scratches and some pitting, otherwise, very fine.
